new character concept

I feel like I'm drawing too many female characters, but it's hard for me to draw a male without thinking about his personality. Drawing girls is more about clothes and hair, and the most important thing in drawing guys is drawing his face. I think that in comic drawings all young girls have same faces.

My first attempt at concept art - Borderlands' Maya fan concept art

That's how my fan concepts of Maya were done step by step. I've started doing it in 2011 after Maya was announced and finished nearly half year later in 2012, with four good sketches I've sent to Gearbox fanart. It was done for fun, because I was disappointed with Maya's appearance, being too similar to Lilith, so I challenged myself if I can create something better than professionals. I think it came out quite good.
